Kashmir Valley Escape, Srinagar, Gulmarg & Pahalgam

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Srinagar, Dal Lake shikara

   Pickup from Srinagar airport and check in to a deluxe houseboat on Dal Lake. Sunset shikara ride past the floating gardens and market. Overnight on the houseboat.

2. Day 2

   Day trip to Gulmarg

   Drive about 50 km (2 hours) to the meadows of Gulmarg. Ride the Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world, and enjoy snow or green slopes depending on the season. Back to Srinagar for the night.

3. Day 3

   Srinagar to Pahalgam via Pampore

   Drive past the saffron fields of Pampore, the Awantipora temple ruins and apple orchards to Pahalgam, about 95 km. Evening by the Lidder river. Overnight in Pahalgam.

4. Day 4

   Betaab Valley, then Mughal gardens

   Morning at Betaab Valley and Aru Valley by local cab. Return to Srinagar and visit the Shalimar and Nishat Mughal gardens in the afternoon. Overnight in Srinagar.

5. Day 5

   Departure from Srinagar

   Breakfast and some time for dry fruits and pashmina shopping, then drop at Srinagar airport. Trip ends.
