Nepal Grand Tour with Chitwan Safari

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Kathmandu, welcome dinner

   Pickup at the airport and check in. Evening welcome dinner with Nepali dal bhat and a cultural show. Overnight in Kathmandu.

2. Day 2

   Pashupatinath aarti, Boudha and Swayambhu

   Sightseeing at Swayambhunath and Boudhanath Stupa, then the evening aarti at Pashupatinath on the riverbank. Overnight in Kathmandu.

3. Day 3

   Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Nagarkot sunset

   Explore Bhaktapur's pagodas, pottery square and king curd. Drive up to Nagarkot for sunset over the Himalaya. Overnight in Nagarkot.

4. Day 4

   Nagarkot sunrise, drive to Chitwan

   Wake for sunrise over Everest and the Langtang range, then drive about 5 hours to Chitwan National Park. Tharu cultural dance in the evening. Overnight in Chitwan.

5. Day 5

   Chitwan jungle safari

   Morning canoe ride on the Rapti river looking for crocodiles and birds, then a jeep safari in search of the one-horned rhino. Visit the elephant breeding centre. Overnight in Chitwan.

6. Day 6

   Chitwan to Pokhara Lakeside

   Drive about 5 hours to Pokhara. Afternoon boating on Phewa Lake and a walk along Lakeside. Overnight in Pokhara.

7. Day 7

   Pokhara: Sarangkot and the Peace Pagoda

   Sunrise at Sarangkot, then Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, the International Mountain Museum and the World Peace Pagoda at sunset. Overnight in Pokhara.

8. Day 8

   Fly Pokhara to Kathmandu, departure

   Morning flight to Kathmandu and transfer to the international terminal for your onward journey. Trip ends.
