Nepal Classic, Kathmandu & Pokhara

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Kathmandu and Thamel

   Pickup from Tribhuvan airport and check in. Evening in the lanes of Thamel and the Garden of Dreams. Overnight in Kathmandu.

2. Day 2

   Kathmandu heritage day

   Visit Pashupatinath Temple on the Bagmati, the great Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight in Kathmandu.

3. Day 3

   Kathmandu to Pokhara

   Drive about 200 km (6 to 7 hours) along the Trishuli river, or take a 25 minute flight at extra cost. Evening by Phewa Lake at Lakeside. Overnight in Pokhara.

4. Day 4

   Sarangkot sunrise and Phewa Lake

   Early drive to Sarangkot for sunrise over Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. Boat to the Tal Barahi temple, then Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave and the World Peace Pagoda. Overnight in Pokhara.

5. Day 5

   Pokhara back to Kathmandu, Patan

   Drive back to Kathmandu and spend the afternoon at Patan Durbar Square and its metal craft workshops. Overnight in Kathmandu.

6. Day 6

   Departure from Kathmandu

   Breakfast and transfer to Tribhuvan airport for your flight home. Trip ends.
